What we collect
From your Google sign-in: your email address and name (we keep only your first name and last initial). What you submit: ratings, comments, optional photos of receipts, products or premises, and the date of your consent. Usage: searches, approximate location rounded to about 1 km if you allow it, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for fraud prevention. If you tell us you are at a business when you rate it and allow location, we use your device's location once to confirm you are there; we keep only whether it was confirmed, never the location itself.
How we use it
To deliver your feedback privately to the business, to show public averages, to moderate content, to prevent fraud, and to produce anonymised, combined statistics about service quality.
Who sees what
The public sees only a business's average star rating and number of ratings. A business sees your comment (after review), your first name and last initial. It never sees your email unless you choose to share contact details in a conversation. Our moderators see what is needed to review content.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored with our database provider in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as you have an account. Search and usage logs for 12 months. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and keep your star ratings only in anonymous form.
